Leuris Pupo wins gold for Cuba in the 2012 London Olympics
Leuris Pupo kept his cool to win Cuba’s first gold of the Olympics in the men’s 25 meter rapid fire pistol Friday.
Pupo scored 34 to edge out India’s Vijay Kumar, who took silver with 30.
China’s Ding Feng won bronze after being edged out by Kumar by one point in the final elimination round at the Royal Artillery Barracks.

After 44 years Ruben Limardo wins gold for Venezuela
Ruben Limardo snared Venezuela's first-ever Olympic fencing medal on Wednesday, winning the gold medal match in the men's individual epee.
The win came 44 years after Francisco Rodriguez became Venezuela’s first and only gold medalist as a boxer (Men’s Light Flyweight) at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.
